For the past few months, we’ve been busy researching and pulling together a list of some of the hottest names in search; from the top rated speakers at our previous conferences, to those you won’t have seen elsewhere. We’ve also been looking outside of the world of search for the kind of inspirational speakers who will really bring us a different perspective on our niche industry. And we’ve finally whittled it down to the following 18…
Kate Morris killed it at SearchLove Boston earlier this year and so we’re bringing her back for the West Coast folks to get a taste of why Kate was one of our highest rated speakers.
Rand Fishkin. Known for his inspirational talks, Rand’s energy is infectious and will no doubt get you feeling excited to get back to the office to put his latest list of tips into place.
New to the SearchLove line-up, ‘Local’ expert Darren Shaw has been on our radar for a while. Founder, SEO and Developer at Whitespark, Darren will be discussing the value of citation consistency, and how to audit and clean up incorrect citations across the local search ecosystem.
Considering ‘content’ is sticking with us as one of the hot topics in Search, it’s not surprising that we’ve invited CopyBlogger’s founder and CEO, Brian Clark. Brian will be teaching us how to embrace creativity without compromising business goals.
Stepping up to the SearchLove stage for the second time (Lauren joined us for SearchLove London in 2012) will be Adroll’s VP of Marketing, Lauren Vaccarello. She’ll be revealing some of the tricks and tips ‘grown-up marketers’ should know!
A veteran of 12 years in the marketing industry, we’ve no doubt Mel Carson will have a tip or two to share. Talking on his expert field (he’s even written a book on the topic, ‘Pioneers of Digital Marketing’), he’s thrilled to share his knowledge with the SearchLove audience.
Stephen Pavlovich, Director of Conversion Factory, has spoken at a number of our conferences on CRO. This time he will be sharing his tips and knowledge of conversion rate optimisation for mobile. He’ll be walking us through a strategy for converting your mobile customers.
Distilled’s Geoff Kenyon is known internally for his technical expertise so we’re looking forward to hearing him share some nuggets of information with you. When he’s not working, Geoff can often be found tearing around on his motorbike...we definitely won’t be saying ‘break a leg’ before he takes to the stage!
With a professional career spanning four start-ups and eight years of digital marketing, as well as her own personal entrepreneurial projects, Joanna Lord, CMO of BigDoor, will no doubt leave us feeling inspired about our own work and ready to get back to the office to put her awesome tips into place.
Looking outside of search, we’ve invited venture capitalist and serial entrepreneur Mark Suster to share his expertise on the real day-to-day life of start-ups, making your way as an entrepreneur and how to raise the right kind of funds.
Co-founder of CPC Strategy, Rick Backus is our e-commerce expert for the conference. Having worked on 100s of comparison shopping campaigns for online retailers, Rick will be sharing his tips on how to integrate Google Shopping into your e-commerce (and overall marketing) strategy.
Mackenzie Fogelson wowed us with her presentation in Boston earlier this year and this time she’ll be wowing the West Coast with her 12 month community-building case study. Mack’s passion for her work is infectious and we’re sure you’re going to walk away from this presentation feeling inspired.
Ian Lurie was a favourite at last year’s SearchLove Boston, so we’ve invited him back to join us on the sunny West Coast this September. Ian will be sharing advice on the ‘Weird, Useful & Significant’ – you’ll find out more about what that means when we reveal the full session descriptions in the next few weeks.
Distilled’s resident outreach guru, Adria Sarcino, will be joining the line-up to share the lessons she’s learnt as Head of Outreach. Adria is evangelical about the value online marketing can bring to a business as opposed to the spammier side of the industry, and we’re sure you’re going to leave this talk feeling inspired.
Serial entrepreneur and now Buzzstream’s CEO and Co-Founder Paul May will be talking to us about Outreach. More specifically, he’ll be digging into the nitty gritty of how to make it both personable and scalable, no easy feat!
We’ve been singing Wistia’s praises for a while here at Distilled so it’s not surprising that we’ve invited Co-Founder Chris Savage to join us this September. Lover of all things video-related, Chris is going to have plenty of insights for the rest of us on how Google treats video, plus top tips for getting indexed.
People have been saying “Content is King” for years now, but you know what? Many of us aren’t treating it like it is. Copywriter at Portent Inc, Rebecca Bridge is going to be teaching us how we all need to start embracing risk (and with it, the chance of failure) in order to really win big in the content marketing game.
And last but certainly not least, is SearchLove’s resident technical guru, Will Critchlow. Earlier this year, Will took to the stage in London, stepping away from his usual technical talks to deliver an inspiring talk on what he thinks is the future for online marketers. We’re looking forward to hearing what he’ll be championing this Autumn.
