Duncan Morris has overall responsibility for running Distilled. With a growing international business, this means he works closely with senior staff in sales, marketing, finance, client services, conferences and product.
Founder and Chief Marketing Officer
Will Critchlow focuses on Distilled’s public image as well as internal and external communications. He handles the “make us famous” to go with Duncan’s “make us good”.
Head of Events
Lynsey Little runs our conferences division. She and her team run events attended by thousands of marketers a year.
Head of Finance
Niralee Thanki handles financial strategy and reporting across the US and UK.
Chief Operating Officer
Rob Ousbey runs the client-facing part of Distilled and, along with the founders, is the third member of the “exec team” that handles the day-to-day running of the company.
Board of Advisors
John Varney, Chairman
John’s experience as Director of Technology at Granada, CTO at the BBC and across a wide variety of non-exec roles marries strong management and strategy experience with deep skills in technology and content. As such, he’s perfectly-placed to steer Distilled through rapid expansion.
As an advisor to Distilled since 2009, John has been instrumental in guiding the management team through the US expansion and transition from web development to online marketing, conferences and training.
James Trumper, Finance
James joined the advisory board in 2013 having previously served as group FD at Vislink. He’s a very experienced CFO with public company experience who has run finance functions supporting businesses up to £150m.
His addition to the Distilled advisory board helped steer a transition to a more mature financial structure appropriate for Distilled’s rapid international growth. In addition to his finance experience, his operational skills have served to help Distilled’s young management team navigate their growing responsibilities.
