9.10 -9.45am - Breaking News Panel: A moderated session discussing the latest news and updates from the world of search. 

9.45-10.15amDan Shapiro – “Creating Serendipity”: Founder and CEO of SparkBuy (and now working for Google since their acquisition of SparkBuy) Dan Shapiro believes it’s the CEO’s job to create serendipity. He’ll talk about his own experiences and illustrate how to increase the chance of awesome encounters and critically how to then decide where to invest time in following up.

10.15-11.00amRob Ousbey – “Characteristics of a Successful Outreach Campaign”: The driving force in building Distilled’s Outreach team; Rob Ousbey will identify what characterises a successful outreach campaign. Covering everything from the activity undertaken, assets, costs and the metrics Distilled use to measure success, this session will include a wealth of actionable tips and takeaways to help you improve your outreach efforts.

The winners create proposals that stand out and makes sense. Portent CEO Ian Lurie will show you how he mixes humor, data and description to create and deliver winning proposals.

12.00-12.45pmJen Lopez – “Utilizing Social Media for Customer Acquisition & Retention”: SEOmoz’s community manager Jen Lopez is responsible for managing one of the biggest SEO communities online. Within this session she’ll be sharing tactics and advice to utilize social media for customer acquisition and retention.

4.00-4.45pmStephen Pavlovich – “How to get Attention, Links and Sales for a Scrappy Start-Up”: Normally presenting on CRO this time we’ve challenged Stephen to share his experiences of running and marketing his own start-up – Wish.co.uk (which he’s been doing in his ‘spare time’), including why they put PR at the centre of their marketing strategy, how they generated press attention and the impact it’s had in terms of reputation, traffic and sales.

Co-founder Eytan Seidman will close day one of SearchLove – this one is not to be missed. Eytan believes you either need compelling product/content or you just have to invest in advertising to build a brand. Having elected to build the Oyster.com brand via compelling content he’ll be sharing processes for content creation, what works and what doesn’t and how to measure success.

5.40-6.00pm“Let’s Get Real”: Getting all our speakers on stage at once to share a single brief snippet of awesomeness is one of the most popular of all our sessions. With a strict “no-tweeting” rule, the only way to see what is shared is to be there.

Within this session he’ll be focusing on Penguin penalties – how to diagnose them, how to clean up your backlink profile and how to get reincluded.
